I teach piano...

for the love of art and music. My main goal is to instill in my students and especially in young children, the skills to read music, to develop pianistic dexterity as well as musical interpretation and style. Most importantly, my students will acquire the knowledge of beautiful and interesting music, the scope of which will enrich their lives with wonder and a sense of achievement.

I developed my musicianship as a member of the reputable Djokic family, including cellists, violinists, violists and pianists who perform worldwide as soloists, members of chamber music ensembles and symphony orchestras. I began my studies at the Settlement Music School in Philadelphia where I studied piano, theory and chamber music. I hold a B.A. from Oberlin College and Conservatory of Music where I studied piano performance with Dorothy Ladd. I later received a M.A. in Arts Education and a Doctorate in Aesthetics from the University of Strasbourg, France. I have won awards, taught and performed in numerous musical venues in France, Mexico, Canada and the United States.

Before establishing my piano studio in New York I was teaching in New Jersey within the Hunterdon County School District, where I also served as accompanist for the Hunterdon County Arts Association, the Roth Violin Studio, the Hunterdon County Suzuki Arts Program, Westminster Choir College School of Music flute and violin recitals as well as for regional music teachers, artists and student recitals.

A believer in the revival of the renaissance mind, I also write poetry, paint and promote the importance of the arts!
